The word ‘sublime’ suggests a sense of inspiring and classic beauty which is precisely fitting for this bag. The stunning gold colored embellishment overlaying a traditional purse permits the Sublime to be the perfect balance of necessity and accessory... not too extravagant for the office and not lacking in a little glam for evening engagements. This bag seems to have a wonderful way of lifting almost any outfit into the zone of well-put-together. The Sublime is traditional enough to be worn with regularity so it’s a lovely touch to have a bag in either deep purple or green. The deep purple is as versatile as black or dark chocolate but certainly more interesting and the green makes for a lovely pairing with earthy colored outfits or standard, forever-fashionable, black.
Personally, I love this bag in purple and have found the quality of finish has turned heads for all the right reasons. I’m also a fan of the detachable over-shoulder strap. The strap is great for daytime wear and allows me to walk hands-free (by that I usually mean coffee in one hand, phone in the other). Having said that, removing the strap heightens the bag’s elegance for evening wear or more formal work occasions. On a practical note, the base of the bag is fitted with nodes to stop the bag from tipping over. No need to lean the bag against furniture... it can stand alone. That’s a strong plus in my book. It’s a petty grievance but it’s a little disappointing when a new bag flops the moment it’s not strategically placed on my arm. The Avery Verse Sublime is altogether lovely and I can’t speak highly enough of it.
